Tropical pool house

I would recommend the home owners invest in the small details to make this home more enjoyable. Positive: The location was close in proximity to where we needed to be in miami. The kids loved the pool. The rooms had smart TVs. The layout of the house was nice in terms of the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. There is some cute decorative wall art in the kitchen and living room. Negative: The pictures on Airbnb really oversell this property. I don’t feel we got what we paid for. First impressions weren’t great - the exterior of the home was unkempt. The grass was tall, garbage cans outside the home were overflowing, large dead iguana on the path to the doorway. Upon entering the home we found 2 dead large roaches on the kitchen floor, which frightened my girls. There was a large dead spider in the bathtub. The AC didn’t cool the bedrooms lower than 72 degrees. It was very hot throughout the home especially in the daytime when the sun was blazing. Home owner had 2 people come check it out the day before we left. The first guy put his hand over the vent and said it worked perfectly. The 2nd guy said he fixed some coils that were bad. I can’t say I noticed much of a difference. We had to purchase our own wash cloths and bath towels - the ones provided appeared too worn down. The floors in the home need a good deep cleaning. My kids walked around the inside of the house barefoot and the bottoms of their feet were black as a result. There is also a plumbing issue through the house - all of the sinks in the home drained extremely slowly including the kitchen. Glade air fresheners were all used up.

Positive: Everything was really clean and we had a lot of space. There are 3 separated bedrooms with quite big beds, so no one of our group of 6 had to sleep on the couch. The highlight for sure is the pool, (which has it's own little waterfall), the heating of the whirlpool was not working, but that was not a problem for us. By car it's around 15mins to every famous hotspot. Would definitely go there again Negative: Could have more glasses, spoons, forks in the kitchen

Positive: Das Haus und der Garten sind eigentlich wunderschön. Insbesondere der Garten könnte jedoch mehr Aufmerksamkeit vertragen. Es lag vereinzelt Müll herum und Teile des Gartens werden von Unkraut überwuchert. Leider hat während unseres ganzen Aufenthalts der Herd u Backofen nicht funktioniert. Wir hätten uns hier mehr proaktive Kommunikation seitens der Gastgeber gewünscht. Die Garage kann nicht genutzt werden, da zur Hälfte zugewachsen. Schlafzimmer, Bäder, Wohnzimmer und Küche sind sehr groß und gut eingerichtet. Der Pool mit Hot Tub macht einiges wieder gut. Negative: Herd und Backofen haben nicht funktioniert. Und obwohl der Gastgeber darüber Bescheid wusste, hat man uns nur am ersten Abend informiert (auf Rückfrage) es gab keinerlei Angebote für eine Entschädigung, was ich wünschenswert gefunden hätte, zumal wir mit einer Zöliakie auf Reisen darauf angewiesen sind, uns selbst verpflegen zu können. Haus und Garten hätten insgesamt sehr viel mehr Potential, es fehlt etwas Pflege hier und da.

Miami und das Haus ist eine Reise wert. Positive: Sehr schönes Haus mit Pool, sauber, sehr bequeme Betten und die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Negative: Die Vermieter sind überhaupt nicht telefonisch erreichbar, die Kommunikation war sehr schleppend.
