Spacious Miami Retreat with Private Pool

Overall, these issues significantly disrupted our comfort and safety throughout the stay and fell well short of what was Positive: The location was really good and near to everything. Negative: Unfortunately, our stay was marred by a number of significant issues, many of which were reported during our stay but never resolved: 1. Air Conditioning – The AC unit was not working, making the rooms uncomfortably warm throughout the stay. 2. Wi-Fi – Coverage was inconsistent throughout the property, with frequent disconnections that made it difficult to work or stream reliably. 3. Pool Access – The most-used section of the pool was non-functional, and the pool was automatically shut off every evening — exactly when it was needed most. Our repeated requests to have it turned back on were declined each time. 4. Furniture & Amenities – Multiple pieces of furniture were broken, the sofa was visibly dirty, and the bathroom had an active leak. The refrigerator’s ice maker did not work, the water bottle dispenser was non-functional, and the coffee maker was low-quality and had an unpleasant odor. 5. Pest Issues – Lizards were present throughout the property, including inside the house, which was unsanitary and unsettling. 6. Misrepresented Bedroom Count – The listing advertised a 4-bedroom apartment, but in reality it is a 3-bedroom unit. The “4th bedroom” was a converted study with a single bed in a cramped, poorly ventilated room — this is a clear misrepresentation of the listing. 7. Staircase Safety Hazard – The staircase was narrow, steep, and felt unsafe to use, posing a genuine fall risk for guests. 8. Upstairs Bedrooms – The two upper-level bedrooms were notably small and remained uncomfortably hot throughout the stay, likely due to poor insulation and the non-functioning AC.

In one word, horrible and I do not recommend this house to anyone. Positive: Very disappointing and definitely not worth the price. The property was not properly cleaned or prepared for our arrival. There was dust and trash behind and under the beds, the grill was extremely dirty, and the pool was dirty when we arrived. The hot tub and pool filtration system were not working properly, and there were several other maintenance issues. The check-in process was also extremely frustrating—we waited outside for about 45 minutes because we were not provided with the access code and could not reach anyone. As soon as we arrived and saw the condition of the property, we contacted the manager, Christina, and explained how disappointed we were with the condition of the house. We immediately requested to shorten our stay by two days because the property was not what we expected and did not match the price we paid. Christina informed us that she had passed our request and all the information to the owner. However, despite our messages and follow-up questions, we never received a response from the owner. We waited until Sunday, hoping to receive an answer, but no one responded. Because of this, we decided not to wait any longer and left the property on Sunday, one day earlier than originally planned. We believe that the lack of response and the failure to address our concerns made an already disappointing situation even worse. The overall condition of the property did not match the price we paid or our expectations. Our family vacation was negatively affected by this experience. I would not recommend this property.
